We chose a live trio band during the aperitifs and dinner reception and a DJ for the afters.

We wanted our guests to enjoy live music and also to keep them dancing all night long.

 

The Best Decision

Our best decision was teaming up with Paola Shanahan and the team at Irish Weddings in Italy. From start to finish, all of our needs were met. The whole thing was hassle-free. Paola and her team went above and beyond the call of duty on many occasions!

 

The Worst Decision

There were no bad decisions, thankfully!!

 

The Beauty Prep

Having worked as a make-up artist for many years before changing career, I decided I would do the make-up for myself, my mum and two bridesmaids on the day. My bridesmaids and I spent the morning in the spa followed by lunch and I then started the make-up in the most amazing bridal suite that I have ever seen. Irish Weddings in Italy had arranged for two hairdressers to come to do our hair - they were fantastic and did exactly what we wanted.

 

The Scent

I wore Jo Malone Blue Agava & Cacao. It’s a beautifully light, slightly sweet scent…perfect for a sunny day!

 

The Bridesmaids

The bridesmaids were my sister and best friend. My sister is a florist and has her own shop in Malahide. She had all the flowers sent from Holland directly to the venue so she spent the afternoon making the bouquets, table arrangements and buttonholes. My best friend kept me calm and laughing all day.
